There’s a good chance we’ll start with a cloudy evening after an unsettled day that might include a shower or a real downpour (40% chance of a shower w/ risk of thundershowers in the area). But if rain clears the air, overnight clearing could bring awesome starry skies before dawn. The forecast beyond that looks very promising. The active fire situation in the area looks good today. The nearby Richter Mountain fire is now classified as Under Control and is more of a curiosity than a threat, while the large Keremeos Creek fire 20-plus km to the north has been mainly stable for several days. The nearest significant fire in the US is near Chelan, WA, about 130 km to the south.
