One week till the start of MKSP 2025!

MKSP 2025 Approaches: At the risk of jinxing ourselves, things are looking very good. The wildfire situation in southern BC and neighbouring Washington state is mild in comparison to recent years. There are no wildfires of any significance within a 100 km radius of Mt. Kobau, and few within 300 km. The only fires generating widespread smoke are FAR to the northeast (northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba) so of little concern.

It’s a little early to forecast weather, but here too the signs are good. The Weather Network’s extended forecast for Osoyoos has clear skies dominating during the week of the star party.
