Remembering Kelly Davies

As planning moves along for MKSP 2025, we are deeply saddened to learn that one of our most faithful Kobau friends, Kelly Davies, passed away during the off season. I’ve long since lost track of the first time Kelly joined us at Mt. Kobau — he had become one of those dedicated enthusiasts that defines our star party, and it won’t seem right that he’s not among us when we meet again this August. Many of you will remember the drama surrounding the loss and recovery of his pet tortoise Egon in 2017. It makes me smile to see this picture taken after they were reunited. Our sincere condolences to Kelly’s family and friends.
